Science & Research

AERIADES members participate to various collaborative R&D projects, with support of the local “Pole de Competitivité”.

Research activities will be boosted in the next years with a new research institute located in Metz: IRT M2P (materials – metallurgy – processes), with several partners coming from the aerospace market (SAFRAN / DASSAULT / EUROCOPTER / UTC...).

International Collaboration

  • Growing cooperation with the neighbouring countries, mainly Belgium and Luxemburg, within the frame of the “Grande Region” (regional development project shared by Belgium (Wallonia and German speaking community of Belgium), Luxemburg and Germany (Saarland and Rheinland Pfalz))
  • Running collaboration with SKYWIN and LUXINNOVATION within the project TRANSCOMAS (TRANSregional Control and Measure in Aeronautic and Space )

Main Challenges

  • Strengthen the local aerospace network and contribute to the growth of the aerospace activity in Lorraine
  • Due to our specific location within Europe, develop transnational collaborations
