The keyboard is IP65 certified, one of the most demanding protection standards in the industry, and resistant to extreme environmental conditions.

The Spanish company is in charge of the whole industrialization process, from design to manufacturing, at its facilities in the Aerospace Technology Park in Andalusia, Aeropolis, and is applicable in naval, terrestrial and aerospace sectors Grabysur manufactures the new tailored keypads, adapting it to the specific needs of each customer both in terms of design features and number of units, without minimum order.

Grabysur expects to increase its turnover by 30% thanks to the diversification of its HMI solutions.

Seville, October 24.- The Spanish company Grabysur, one of the few European manufacturers of illuminated panels for cockpits and helicopters, has just launched in the aerospace event Airtec 2017 its first custom-made backlit silicone keypad for both civil and military industry, resistant to extreme environmental conditions and without minimum order.

This illuminated silicone keypad is applicable in naval, terrestrial and aerospace industries and, in general, in any sector in which there is a exposure to extreme environmental conditions. It is IP65 certified, one of the most demanding protection standards of the industry, which guarantees resistance against agents such as water or dust. As with the rest of its HMI solutions, Grabysur is in charge of the complete product cycle, from design to manufacturing, from its facilities at the Aerospace Technology Park in Andalusia, Aeropolis.

The Spanish company manufactures the new tailored keypads adapting it to the specific needs of each customer, both in terms of design features and number of units, as it already does with the knobs, ICPs, DKUs, bezels and control units that already has in the market.

The R&D team of Grabysur has been working for a year to also manufacture in silicone other products in its HMI solutions portfolio. Silicone is one of the best materials to manufacture devices that have to face adverse environmental conditions, since, unlike other synthetic materials such as plastic, it better resists exposure to sunlight, humidity, pressure, chemicals or dust, keeping material properties unchanged for longer.

With this release, Grabysur diversifies its HMI solutions and expects to increase turnover by 30%. "We are very excited about this new business line" explains Fernando Besa, Grabysur’s CEO, who is sure that " this release will be a further economic boost, because we are one of the few companies in Europe that manages the entire lifecycle of the product."
