Paris Air Show 2017 - EACP is well prepared for exciting days in Le Bourget

By: Carl-Friedrich Flothmann

The Paris Air Show will take place from Monday, June 19 to Sunday, June 25 and bring together the international aviation industry, which will present the latest technical innovations and again will be one of the major events for the industry on a global scale.

Thus, it is not surprising that the Paris Air Show is also an ideal meeting point for the members of the EACP network. At the present point, the participation of at least 25 members at the Paris Air Show is expected, ensuring many fruitful discussions about the latest trends within our industry.

Alongside numerous booth receptions of many EACP members, which are an optimal basis for a lively exchange and business-to-business contacts, membership signatures of recently added EACP members will top off the predominant days in Paris for the aviation industry. Among them newly joined EACP members is the West of England Aerospace Forum (WEAF). WEAF represents the aerospace and defense industry in the South West of England, United Kingdom. WEAF strives to grow the sector and act as an enabler of excellence regionally, nationally and on the global stage.

On Thursday, June 22, there will be a C2C (Cluster-to-Cluster event) within the Paris Air Show of the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP). The pivotal element is to get to know more cluster representatives from other industries. Our greatest anticipation lies on the Friday evening: In the course of the Paris Air Show, European Aerospace Cluster Partnership (EACP) organizes the first Global Aerospace Cluster Manager Meeting. Here, for the first time, a meeting will beheld with as many as possible aerospace cluster managers. The core idea is to introduce the concept and motivation of the EACP: A multilateral, loose cooperation on a mutual level of trust to exchange best practices, and member services as well as have a platform to support members in B2B. The initial target of 60 registrations has been exceed long ago, however we are currently looking for a few more places to accommodate. We are very pleased that this newly introduced concept also received strong support from our stakeholders, which amplify the event with exciting keynotes to the importance of cluster organizations and their international network.
